Room Decor Goals

Recently I moved house!!! I am no longer living in a house share, but I am technically a lodger within a house. I am extremely luck that me and my housemate get on so well. She has already inspired me to start eating healthier and looking after me a bit more.
Because I am no longer living in a house share i have got a little more freedom when it comes to room decor. Obviously I do have to be mindful of the fact that I am still in rented accommodation so there are some limitations.
The one thing I missed most when it came to room decor was filling the wall with pictures and little knick knacks. So that is what I did!!! I will keep adding to it but this is what I have done so far. Every thing is hung up using Command sticky hooks. These things are amazing and I am obsessed with them.

The next thing I need was a bit of extra storage. I own so much stuff. Like seriously I don't know why I own most of it but it needs to go somewhere until I have a massive sort out. I also felt like getting a little creative. So I made this.

Every time I walk into my room I look at it and am amazed that I created something so beautiful. The shelving units themselves are from the Form Konnect range at B&Q and I bought the twinkle lights from Wilko. Everything else I already had and this created the perfect home for it all and of course i needed somewhere to display my love for all things Harry Potter.
Since taking that photo I have also added my now organised makeup and a cute little Polaroid.

This was all so easy and fun to create I can't wait to do more.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration as to how you can decorate your room!!!

Also I recently started a new job working for a fab little family business called Pro-Door. not only am I working as part of the garage door team, but I am also helping to run the social media outlets. And what is even better I get to write a blog as part of their website. Although reading about garage doors may not be your cup of tea I would love it if you could check it out for me!!!

What a Beautiful Day

Happy Saturday!!!
Today I woke up and all I wanted to do was make something. Get all crafty again!!!
Typical me I didn't know what to make all I knew is that I wanted to try something new. So to help me decide I went for a walk into town and let me tel you the weather was beautiful. Check out this gorgeous picture of the Cathedral I took.

This has been a long week and ever muscle in my body was starting to ache while i was waking around so I decided to try my hand at making bath bombs!!
I made two varieties; lavender and, green tea and cucumber. Honestly I was surprised how easy they were to make. I found a simple recipe on the diy projects for teens site. Unfortunately I don't have a bath so my sister will be testing them out next week for me!!!
If they work as they are supposed to I will be selling them over on my depop page for just £2.50 each!! They will be made to order and I really wanna try out loads of different colour combinations, shapes and scents so please feel free to request anything no matter how crazy it is!!!!
The bath bombs are currently drying so I don't have a picture of them at the moment but keep an eye on my instagram later.

DIY IT!!! Weekly Planner Board

Heeeellloooo!!!!
So first off I apologise for not publishing this sooner I've just been super busy of late. But here it is!!! Now this is going to be a new series that I will try to do weekly; at the moment it is called DIY IT!!! But I am looking for a better name so please comment your suggestions!!!

So what you will need:

  • Poster board in your desired colour
  • Card suitable for printing on
  • Hot glue gun
  • Craft knife
  • Metal organiser pots (I'm not really sure what they are called!!!)
  • Sticky back plastic
I used an A2 sized poster board but you can use any size depending on where you want to put your planner. I found my planner template on pinterest but obviously it you are more creative than me you can make your own. once you have your weekly planner print it on to your card and cover it is sticky back plastic. If you have a laminating machine that will also work.
I then found some cool quotes to also print on to card and obviously I had to include a Harry Potter quote!!!!
Attach the planner and quotes to the poster board using double sided tape.
I then found some pen pots to stick to the poster board using a glue gun. In one pot I have put my whiteboard pens and in the other I have put my pills and multivitamins.
I wanted to hang my board up to I just attached a piece of twine to the back of the board with the hot glue gun!!!
And hey presto you have yourself a weekly planner board.
Please if you make one please share your pictures on instagram using #lovehayleybeth and I will be liking and sharing my favourites!!!!

Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed it and I will speak to you again soon!!!!
